No can do - TPMS cannot be disabled on the 2nd generation IS. Just spend ~70 smackers and buy some TPMS adapters from iForged.

I'd rather maintain the TPMS.. it is a life saver!! I want it in 2 of my other cars, but they are not factory installed options~~
Yes, if your wheels do not fit them, get the adapter from iForged... It'll be worth it!

The second row 7 alphanumeric code is unique for each sensor. Each code has to be programmed to the vehicle..

it wouldnt hurt if you write it down, but you really dont need to. Dealership has the tools to pull the serial number using their computer and it wouldnt cost you any less if you gave them the code

THX for the pic man, you really help me solve this problem.
that mean this TPMS can be program before they are mount into the wheel.
I'll get them program 1st (make sure is running, then don't have to dismount them if they dont work).

I am not sure if they need to be pressurized before programming.....
Ideally, i'd like to program before mounting too.. but i am not sure if the car can recognize the sensor having it not mounted...
You gotta check with others.. but I took the pix so i can remember the code....
Goodluck.. again, i am not sure if it will program without pressure.

its better if they are installed first so that they can see if it reads the tire pressure. otherwise they can't tell if the sensors are working properly or not.

You can.. BUT the warning "Check TPMS" system will flash until the new 2nd set of sensors are pressurized for the 1st time...
Yes, I did it backwards and basically "woke them up" by pressurizing the sensors with rubber bands.. LoL...
After I got them into my new wheels, everything worked perfectly.

Joe Z, can you share the rubber band trick? I know there is a zip tie trick.. but hard to say if it works while the car is at the dealer....

**UPDATE**. Solving the TPMS solution for non-TPMS compatible wheels just became cheaper. You get a complete set of TPMS adapters
directly from iForged for $35 .
