Default alarm help

has anyone installed a compustar alarm in their 2gen IS?....i just wanted to know if it disables any stock features and so on...please PM me..

planning to install the new viper 5901 myself, anyone have a aftermarket alarm on their car?

It would defeat the purpose of the keyfob. You would now need to turn off the aftermarket alarm, then unlock the car itself. 2x more work.

You can just unlock the door through the Viper remote. From what I hear, you can use the Viper remote if you program it to be your primary remote. You won't even need the Lexus key fob anymore.

How would you start the car without the key fob after you've unlocked it with the Viper remote?

there is remote start.. it can starts your engine 1 mile away..

Bingo. Aftermarket alarm + hack install job = issues.

In all my years of working on cars, I've never seen a clean and well integrated aftermarket install, not even by the "good" guys.
