Default Caliper decal w/o painting

Has anybody tried putting the decals on the front calipers w/o painting, just a clearcoat after the sticker?

I put brushed aluminum decals on mine the first time I changed my front brakes. No clear coat, and the decals are still good.

Where did you get those brushed aluminum decals Javey?

Second, though what if that brushed aluminum decal came off while you were doing 100+. could be bad news? =/

The decals are not going to come off, no matter how fast you drive (assuming you apply them properly). The only thing that might make them come close to coming off is overheating your calipers; I've taken those decals to the track, and they never came close to coming off. Besides, if you heat your caliper to the point where the decals are coming off, you'll have bigger problems to worry about than some decal.

I got them a LONG time ago from Darin at darinwyborny@hotmail.com - I'm not sure if he still makes them. He offered them in either a chrome or brushed aluminum finish.
