Default Cd MP3 question

I ran a search but couldnt come up with a solid answer. If I burn a music cd with MP3's, by dragging and dropping into folders, will the nav screen show folders and song info?

well it all depends where you got your music files from. Certain songs will display title and artist and some wont. I think you can also save the MP3 musics onto your harddrive on your unit. I know i seen it somewhere.. Too lazy to search for you.. lolz

I've burned CDs on iTunes. If you modify the preferences, it will show the track names, but not with the iTunes default settings.

So--it depends.

To burn an MP3 I used a Maxell CD-R 80 min/700mb. When I load it the message reads No Music. Any help or suggestions to be able to use MP3s?

you need to close the session when you burn...the unit does not like multi-sessions CD.....

I'm picking up my car tomorrow, I made a music cd by dragging and dropping mp3 files into folders on a cd-r. I closed the session, should this play on the car?

It is a bit hard without seeing exactly what you did. I believe, technically, you burned a data cd with mp3 files on it, not music cd. A music cd is not compressed file like mp3. Sound quality is different. Music CD > mp3.

But the short answer to your question is yes. The unit will play your mp3 files. The unit basically scans through the entire disk. Any mp3 files will be playable in either their own folders (or subfolders) or root directory.
