I'm about to purchase some used cv3 and was wondering how can you tell if it's fake or not. $2200 isn't cheap.

would 255/35/20 tires be okay on 20" cv3 for is250?

For the rear you can 255/30, I've seen them up to 285. Fronts can be 225/30 for a stretch or 235/30 any bigger you'll rub when turning depending on your drop. You definitely wanna run a 30 series tire for 20's. Personally Im running 225/30 & 255/30 Hankook V12 at 40 psi on CV2s. Good luck.

I'm sure there's a serial number on the wheels. Maybe vossen can check them to see or they're legit?

Besides the center cap all CV series are embossed with the VOSSEN logo right into the wheel itself

I don't recall seeing a serial number, but yes the wheels have VOSSEN machined in them.

yeah wheels should have vossen embossed in them for sure! Just ordered my vossens last saturday and have them put on this saturday! It is going to be the longest week of my life.....

Damn I got my cv3s brand new for cheaper then that. Are you getting tires with it or something?

You should be fine! Our wheels have "Vossen" on the caps, as well as on the lip as shown. If you're not sure, post a link and we can verify them, or pm me.


And besides, we haven't seen any fake Vossens, just a few similarly designed wheels like the Stance SC5 wheels and one by Avante Garde...
