Default Lexon spoiler emblem tape

Anyone know where you can get some of the super thin tape for an lexon roof spoiler emblem? It looks like the thin tape on the front of a gfx lip... i don't think the normal foam 3m emblem tape (red backed) is gonna sit flush.

yeah... i've seen anything like that before either... i was thinking about shaving down the 3M foam tape or just glueing it on. But the manufacturers must have gotten the tape from somewhere.

I think layer of Glue would do the trick. Krazy glue would be my choice, cause it's KRAZY!

im not talking about the spoiler itself... im talking about the lexon emblem that goes on-top of the spoiler lol. The foam auto tape is too thick and won't look flush.

I would glue that emblem on!!!...as funny as this may seem. Their are ppl out there that would love to snag that emblem off and slap it on their replica spoiler....

I don't think double sided tape will be enough to hold the "emblem" on. Someone could just pull it off or it might fall off by itself due to weather conditions (rain) etc.

I would just go with the Krazy glue. It might give you a little more peach of mind than the double sided tape.

yeah but originally it was held on by this thin double sided tape (stock from lexon). But once you remove it it loses its adhesiveness... I guess i'll go with the glue on method with KRAZYYY Glue! lol

3M does make a very thin double sided tape. It uses the same adhesive as the grey foam tape, but has no foam so essentially it's just adhesive with a backing. I don't know of any auto parts stores that might carry it. I used to be in the dash kit manufacturing business, and we'd source the thin tape for some applications. But we bought it in very large rolls directly from 3M, I've never seen it in the 1/2" widths that you can get the other tapes in. Maybe call a body shop, they often times purchase this stuff.

You can't really shave the 3M tape down. It only has adhesive on the contact surfaces, in the middle it's just foam.
