Default New alignment?

I'm replacing my stock rubber (Turanzas) with some RE760 Sports. They are the same size as stock. The shop I take it to said he recommends an alignment after installing new tires. Is this necessary even though the new tires are the same size as the old?

it's not necessary to get an alignment, but I'd recommend getting one just to make sure that the tires wear evenly. anyway, it's a gd idea to get alignment at least once a year, IMO.

Just changing tires doesn't require an alignment... but if you needed one anyway due to uneven wear you'll still need one after you change the tires.
