Default How would you guys fix this bumper issue?

Hi Fellas,

I was washing my car today and noticed that my driver side bumper was sticking out a bit. Doesn't seem like anyone hit my car or anything cause it.

Was wondering how I can fix this problem. I tried pushing the bumper back in, but it won't budge. Did some kind of clip break?

Thanks!

Shouldn't it either snap or have retaining screws that keep it connected and tight? Maybe those are loose

I had the same problem on the passenger side, but also noticed that the headlight-fender-bumper fit was crappy. Pic:

It all went away once I hit a deer at 85mph and the body shop redid the whole front clip, thought :-D.

those should be the clips.. either the tabs broke... or you just have to pull everything out and re-set it

I see, thanks for the input. I don't have the tools to take the side bumper apart. I'll try tomorrow and hopefully it'll be intuitive enough to fix. If the tabs/clip broke is this covered in the warranty?

if i were you, i would just take it off completely and then just put it back on. that should fix the problem, if not, the go show the dealer

let the dealer fix it as warranty. every IS I've seen at lexus has a tad bit of a gap in that area. but yours is a bit bigger.. all you need is a 10mm socket and a flat head to take off your bumper.

cool, i'll swing by dealer during lunch and complain. there's absolutely no signs of me hitting anything or scrapping anything. it just broke or fell off. weird.

the second set of pictures is really hanging off!
should just be some clips that hold it up. That happened on my old car but on the rear (it was an accord) and it was just the clips that broke and i replaced them
