Hey Guys,

I pulled the trigger on a 06 IS 350 over the weekend. So far the car is great, very nice to drive. I have owned AUDI in the past and while thoose have a little more driver feel to them, I am liking the Lexus comfort right now. I have a ton of questions but will use the search feature first. Just wanted to introduce myself

I too miss my Audi and it's solid handling! The Lexus is more eye candy though.

Thanks Guys, I will take some pics this weekend and post them up.. The car is stock so you know what it looks like, but still nice to share. I have never left a car alone so I will probably add some mods in the near future, but they will be mostly cosmetic like Wheels, lip kit etc... I actually like the performance on the car now and can not imagine that adding the simple stuff like exhaust and intake will make much of a difference. I will read around and see what the forum says about that stuff...

Right now the only thing I can not figure out is how to turn the NAV screen to night mode at night, the owners manual says that there is a icon for this on the display screen depending on the headlight switch position but I have tried all positions and still day mode only. Any ideas.

Also does anyone know if the Phone will bluetooth transfer the phonebook with an 3G Iphone? I tried and it looked like it was frozzen...waited about 10mins and nothing happened so I am assuming I am doing something wrong. Ill search on the forum too.

There's a LOT of info via search, but my personal opinion summary for mods (performance wise):

F-sport sway bars- just do it. Significant improvement, dead easy to put on.

Intake- Joe Z isn't a bad deal at $109 but it's only 5 horsepower...still, it's easily the best bang=for-buck hp gain on the car (sadly)... any other intake will cost more and not add anything else but extra noise.

Exhaust- Any axle-back will add 7 hp, lotsa folks selling Tanabes right now in the 450-500 range, and it's a relatively quiet system, so if you just want nice looking tailpipes and a touch more power it's a good way to do... there's louder axle-backs if that's your thing though. A "full" exhaust will cost $1000+ and gain you 3-5 more hp than the axle back.

Wheels- yes this is a big opportunity for a performance mod if you go with lightweight 18s.... better handling, braking, and acceleration too. If you want VIP 20s you can do it but it'll obviously be a negative for performance.

And that's about it...

Congrats on the car, you'll really enjoy it
