Default advice on a CPO 2007 is350

Hello everyone,

I was really interested in purchasing a new lexus but after the redesigned front and rear bumper, I am leaning towards the older 07-08 models. I guess it is also because there are not a lot of aftermarket parts available for the new 09s.

I found a car im interested in at a dealer, starfire pearl w/black interior lux package and upgraded 18" alloy wheels (all I want in the lexus is the ipod integration and nav). It is a CPO 2007 model with 43k miles. The dealer has it listed for $31,000. kelly blue book shows the retail is around 28k. I know kbb is just a rough idea of the car price but I was wondering what is a good range I should expect to pay for this car?

Also, I know CPO offers warranty after the rigorous 161 point inspection and goes through a clean reconditioning, but are regular preowned cars in that bad of a condition to not be titled as a certified preowned? I see a lot of used 350s but none of them are certified even with low miles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated~

dealers are willing to budge more on the price of newer car's as they have worse financing, compared to CPO's which CURRENTLY have an attractive promotion of 2.9% on approved financing. what's interesting right now though, is that 2009 ES and IS have 2.9% APR as well. if you are interested in a 350, it will come with HID's, the 250's no longer come with HID's, as the older models did. If you're really willing to pay 31,000, i suggest just buying a new one for an extra couple thousand.

Grind them. With that mileage, you can bet they stole that car from the guy trading it in. I got mine (CPO) with 15k on it for UNDER KBB private party price. In this economy, you should be able to do the same or better. CPO is a great way to go with the right deal.
