Default What did you use to fill holes after debadging.

I don't want to start another "to debadge or not to debadge" debate here but i would just like to know, from those who have debadged, what they used to fill the holes before they repaint. Bondo seems straight forward. Small plugs have been mentioned too. Any links to small plugs? Thanks

How well has that held up?

I like the idea cause it could easily be reversed if i wanted to re-install badges.

Silicone RTV sealant, aka gasket sealer. It was already a dark gray, but I used touch up paint as well. Applied with a toothpick, smoothed over, dried, then painted with a touch-up 'pen' type applicator. Has held up since December - you can't notice it unless you put your face literally inches from the trunklid.

it should only cost you about a hundo to get them filled and professionally painted instead of looking cheap with them filled in ur self with touch up paint. it will be noticeable on those sunny dayss. but if u have a black car it'll blend in alot more but still... do it right!

Save yourself some time/money and leave them on. If you decide to take them off, there are 2 ways.

Do it yourself-Bondo, and touchup paint like everyone said OR take it to a body shop and get it done. It'll be expensive cause they probably need to spray the entire trunk but i'm no expert. You gotta pay to play.

1. Don't do it

2. If you do, you will have to get the entire trunk re-sprayed and filled

3. Replace the chrome emblems with new black pearl emblems

4. DIY by removing chrome emblems, sanding (100 grit) and repainting them and replacing using 3M double-sided tape

5. Don't do it

Yeah, there's a cost-effective option! Let's see, overpriced wet-lay CF trunk that doesn't save hardly any weight and has marginal fitment vs. $3.64 tube of silicone rtv, a $0.01 toothpick, and a $5.00 bottle of touch up paint.
