Default So I picked up an 06' IS350(Pic)

Picked up a 2006 IS350 three weeks ago. Car has 32k miles, new tires, new brake pads, well serviced, etc. for a fairly decent price OTD. This is a base IS350, no NAV, no ML, or any of that fancy stuff. Coming from a previous turbo car I am happy with the power this car produces, although handling is a little lacking for my taste, but hey it's a Lexus, I get random girls coming up to me asking if they can get a ride

I think I made the right choice, was 50/50 on either a 02-04 E46 M3 or a 06/07 IS350. I guess in the long run the IS is better suited for a reliable daily driver.

My previous car: 2006 Subaru WRX Limited, totaled.

New to me IS350:

"Mods" so far:

Volt 6k HID's
5LED SMT Parking lights
Redout tails

Planning to do by July:

20% all around tint
F-Sport Springs
OEM spoiler
GFX front lip

45-50mph on a ramp entering the freeway, right at the bend I hit a patch of black ice, slid and collided with the barrier.

damage is almost all exterior, insurance didnt want to pay for it so insurance reimbursed me $23.5, not bad as I paid $29.8 OTD back in 2006.

Hey bobby, nice ride. I see you put in the 5LED SMT, do you have pictures of that with your HID? I'm looking to get some.

May I ask you why you selected an IS350 over an E46 M3

May I ask you why you selected an IS350 over an E46 M3
After I recieved my insurance money I was 99.9% sure I was going to pick up an 02-04 M3 coupe/6spd, but with such an old car with no warranty I would be spending major $$ to repair things if they should go, maintenance for the M3(for me)is not a problem, inspection I/II I can easily DIY minus the valve adjustment. Plus there is also the fear of the cracking subframe issue, which would cost anywhere from $2-3k to replace, and oh lets not forget about the infamous VANOS problem on later E46's. Thought to myself, it's not worth buying such a high maintenance car without a warranty, so I decided to go with the IS350, but for sure next car will either be a brand spanking new E92 M3 or an RS4.

Welcome!

Throw a set of F-sport sway bars on the car and you'll feel a lot better about the handling too

Welcome!

So, you're already enjoying the "baller" status of Lexus, huh?
