I have had the Crystal White color for 2+ Years now since purchased, looking for something new.

Correct...

i know Jonnyboy got matte black, but hes got purple now..

I do have bubbles here and there but minor, and is fixable if done correctly.
I am waiting on a full wrap... but my friend is quite busy lately with other work so i've been trying to do it myself.

For him... he's got NO BUBBLES whatesover..
i posted a few pix in 2slow's thread, but here is some of the finished work:

again, if done right.. will look like painted.

I did the partial fender today and my trunk.... which was a pain in the a$s and im not 100% satisfied.. which i will probably redo again.

For those that asked, a job like this costs around $3500 or so give or take depending on car size and amount of parts.

so... why wrap the car?

1) change color for cheaper than paint and u can go back to OEM paint.
2) also its a type of paint protection against rock chips and scratches. Vinyl usually lasts about 6+ years.
3) I got in a hit and run and i have to replace my front bumper.... and on the 3-stage paint gonna cost me arm and leg to paint my full kit and front bumper, so just wrapping it for now.

here are some other pix:

doesnt look primered. the vinyl is a "satin" style matte black, which is what i am looking for.

1.5 hrs for the hood, a good 3-4+ for the trunk since i had to dissemble everything (and i am not pro). in order for the wrap to look nice.. i need to remove all parts to wrap, which i didn (front fender) so the wrap was not tucked in. i have done clearbras, but not this kind of wrap. The vinyl is not as thick as a clear bra, and when heated (stretched at certain times, the color changes, which means.. major fail. and because of the material, when wrapping if pushed too hard, you can see scratches or if the vinyl is not flat when pushed, once creased, the product may be ruined. it's a very time taking procedure and i wish i had the skills to do it. I wrapped my roof already but was not pleased with the results and have to do it again. and my trunk and hood... may want to redo all again.

eventually i will have it done.. but im more like doing it as a practice and i have learned a lot by messing today...

yah, from 3 ft away! u'll see the impferctions when u get close... im still leanring how to heat and wrap around edges... so lots of cut and paste "bandage style" near the corners, but good thing the wrap is thin and its not all bumpy.. .haha

figured, worst case scenario, can always go back to white.. hahaha

I think it looks nice, but Matte wrapping is VERY common in Dubai.

Matte white is very very uneasy to clean. I have though of this route before, but your doors would look all dirty EVERYDAY and is hard to clean. gloves only!
