Go to an empty parking lot. Put the car in Drive, hold onto the brake frimly with your left foot, with your right foot, gas up to 3,000+RPM and let go of the brake. That should tell you if you have AWD or RWD

you guys are pretty nice about all this compared to other forums I've been on because he's obviously trolling the boards and leading you guys on lolz. I can't possibly believe someone purchased a car and not know the model they have.

AWD = IS250 ONLY and have a AWD badge on it
RWD= IS250 and IS350 and no AWD badge

This is by far the easiest way to tell when seeing one drive down the street. Same rims all around or dinky wheels up front and fat wheels in back.
If not a troll, shame on the OP for not knowing this before going into a purchase.

Good point. Your registration or insurance papers may say, based on the VIN.

My question is how did you buy the car and not know if you were buying AWD or not?? I guess some people go out buying expensive cars not really knowing anything about them... AWD also sits around an inch higher than rwd.
