Default First Minor Mods

Since the bottom of my air dam was scuffed I decided to replace it with a new OEM GFX front lip. I bought it from my local Lexus dealer for $125 and installed it myself. Also the lower bumper plastic OEM mesh grille had a few pieces that were broken within the mesh part itself so I decided to replace that as well with a stainless stell T-Rex mesh grille from my local Lexus dealer. I added the radar detector about a year ago but never posted any pics of it. The radar detector is an Escort Passport 8500 X50 (Blue LED). I mounted it to the mirror using a special bracket that attaches to the mirror that I found on a 350z forum website kinda like our CL site. I hard wired the radar detector to the mirror for power.

I added some before and after pics of my mods.

If I painted the mesh black then it would virtually make it look like the OEM plastic grille that I replaced.

It's pretty easy to attach and detach.

Here is the website where I got the mount from: Linky Select the Plain Escort , Bel, K40's Mount

mmm I think you should replace the upper grill with a stainless steel grill as well. it looks a little odd with one being black and one all shiny

I decided not to replace the top grille with a mesh one like the bottom piece because it will be too flashy IMO. To much "bling" for me.

I like the way the bottom piece stands out. That's why I picked to install the stainless steel chrome mesh instead of the stainless steel black piece. As I said in my above comment I didn't want to replace the OEM bumper grille with another grille that looks like the OEM one.

btw everytime you go to reset the radar, your gonna move the rear view mirror thus leading to a very annoying radar blocker because your gonna have to be re-positioning it all the time
