The manual is fine, no reliability issues. Its just not a slick shifter like a Honda..(they make great manuals)

Welcome to Clublexus and good luck

Well I got some quotes on insurance and it looks as I will be going with All State. They offered me a full coverage policy for $151.00 a month. Now I'm just playing the waiting game with the credit union at my job. Hopefully they preaprove me for the amount that I applied for.

I am willing to sell my car for the right price it is a 2008 6 speed Smokey Granite Mica with black leather. 8,000 miles on it all highway ive only onwed the car a few months but would prefer automatic now once I hit the city here towards D.C. it is a real pain to drive stop and go. Send me a PM and we can talk if you really are serious about buying the car. It also has 35% tint all the way around and a HPS inatke which can removed and I can put the stock one back on if you wish.

Thanks,
Ryan J. Scott

Sorry Ryan I'm looking to buy a locally available certified pre-owned. I'll be paying the dealer in full as I'm bringing my own financing and since dealers are desperate to get rid of stock I'm willing to bet that they will take what ever reasonable counter offer I tell them.

Wish your car was available locally as it's the color combo that I'm looking for.

I wouldn't even consider an auto 250. 350 or manual. After owning just over 2 years and 80k miles (yes that's not a typo), great car but I did get my jar of marbles on startup at 64k. I'll probably get 100k miles out of the clutch. F-sport clutch will be installed then.

I just bought my wife an Evo X MR and the duel clutch is amazing. I could never change gears that fast, nothing like a 350 or F. Great to put in Auto when in traffic. As a family man, the Evo is our most expensive to insure at $70/mo for half-mil coverage. Lexus is the highway car, Evo is fun around town, SUV for kids and towing.

B16: if the price is right, a road trip to the DC area is nothing. You'll have all your warranty items fixed before 50k miles so I just don't see the point of CPO and the nice 100k warranty---now on a Range Rover I wouldn't dare miss an extended warranty. Financing a used out of state car is not hard but probably a different carrier than you got now.

Well I found a 2008 6 speed with a little over 12,000 miles. I test drove the car and it does not make the jar or marble sound. The dealer was asking 26k for it plus tax, tag title and dealer fees. I got them down to 24k on the car plus all the fees and they told me 26.8 for everything. I said no deal so I walked out. Now yesterday they called me all day with different offers. First 26.6k with new tires I said no, then 26k with no new tires I said no again. I told them 26k with all the fees plus a new set of tires, they told me they would think about it and call me back.

While that is taking place I found another one a 2007 speed with 23,000 miles this one is all black leather interior the other one has lightgray/black leather and they are asking 24,900.00 for it. Even tho this car is an 2007 it comes with more factory options, HID's, rear spoiler and aluminum pedals ( Is this some sport package Lexus offered)?

Also do any of you have access to carfax and if you do could you get me the info on this vin#JTHBK262182059404

if it has oem aluminum pedals, then most likely it has sport package... or the previous owner added it themselves. manuals with sport package and nav are pretty rare...

You guys had a white 2008 6 speed but I called yesterday and they told me it was already sold .

Also I got a loan through my credit union hence why I'm haggling so much with the dealer. I told the dealer you need to sell the car I don't need to buy it and I won't buy it if that's not what I'm willing to pay for it. I'm sticking to my gun and I'm also being very patient so I will get what I want at a price that I want.

The IS is a great car and when I test drove it I gunned it but I'm sad to say my Integra is still faster, but it doesn't really matter as I just want a nice car to drive to the office and too meetings.
