I am finally picking up my 2009 IS250 tomorrow. Is there anything in particular I should check the car for at the dealership before signing the papers? Any common defects that would be visible right away?

Milage, dents, scratches, curb rash. Usually its fine, maybe a scratch or two but you can add that to the bargain or buff it out.

ask for the clear mats. put them over the lexus ones. Those will save your carpeted lexus mats.
If they washed it check for swirls........................

when I picked my '09 up, I checked every last panel for scratches, swirl marks of any sort, paint chips, etc.. found a few scratches, had them buffed out no problem, and picked my new car up the next day. oh it didn't come with the front license plate bracket (which is supposed to be in ur trunk I believe) so ended up going back to the dealer to pick one up and have it installed. and it was all free of course. congrats, ur gonna love it. what color did ya get?

Look over the interior & exterior several times, making notes and pointing things out of interest to the salesperson. Make sure any recalls & TSIB's have been completed. Be sure your manual, tool kit & first aid kit are in place. Have them set your LPS. Then drive it like you stole it and enjoy!!

After all the check points listing above... If I were you I'm gonna look careful around to see if dealership have a IS350 with same color and options and get it........HEHEH sorry! Dang I can't find a 350 with the color I wanted.....Can't even trade mine at all..Sorry off topic.....How much do you pay for your car what color it is.?????????

Take a couple of friends with you so that you can all look over the car before you take delivery. A couple more eyes might catch what you miss.
