Hey there ,
I came over here from the TDIClub Forum.
I was watch a show called Auto Trader from United Kingdom on the HD Theater channel (on Direct TV ) . They showed a Lexus IS Diesel( I believe it was a 2.2L 175HP) , does anybody know if Lexus is looking at trying to bring this model to the United States .
It sucks, EVERY manufacturer who manufactures vehicles for Europe has diesels it seems for every model .

I don't think it's ever coming over or that Toyota/Lexus will offer any type of diesel for the foreseeable future. Typically Japanese manufacturers haven't embraced diesel technology like the euros. They rather develop hybrid and alternative powerplants. I think that the Japanese prefer developing new high tech solutions rather than refining older technology.
Anyways, i don't see the point in bringing the diesel over, the is250 is already too underpowered
