Lately my car when idling the RPMs drop to 400-500 and the car begins to shake. This occurs even when the car has been completely warmed up after a 30 mile drive. If this is the tsib for the engine knock my car's VIN # doesn't fall into the affected. Is there any other possibly problems that could be causing it? I would hate to take my car in and make a few trips because they might order parts and whatnot.

I'm no tech, but from what I've seen coming in and out of the shop, sounds like debris build up in the valves from the many IS250's that I've seen. I'm not gonna go into details, but you should definitely take it to your preferred Lexus Dealership/Service Dept. to have it looked at. If it is effected, they will have to special order the parts. You using premium or regular gas? My 08 is250 wants to stall sometimes when im cheap & put regular in it.

weird, i got this slight stumbling yesterday afternoon on a cold engine that was trying to idle while holding an incline stop..

Mine does this. Randomly might I add. Only when the engine is cold. Doesn't do it often, but it does it. Been like this for years. So not sure if there is a fix.
