But yeah that's pat's shoes. You should come down to queens more like nabbun. We should do his fogs next
Oh, and i find myself leaving the fogs on more and more. They certainly illuminate the edges of the road quite well- and it's awesome having 85 watts of HID on the road

OP, is it a must to remove the bumper?
im considering simply painting the inside of the fog light. all i need is access to remove the fog housing.... so, if i pull back the wheel well lining, do you think there is enough clearance to unbolt the fog housing and pull it out through the wheel well?

that looks so nice.
I just would like to ask you if you had any issues with the 55 watt kit in your low beams (meaning running too hot, or blowing the fuse) and what wattage kit did you use for the fogs?
Thanks
G.T.

Nope. Keep in mind that I am running an OEM Philips 85122+ bulb D2S in the low beams. I read somewhere in a thread where somebody compared the temperatures in a 55w kit using OEM and aftermarket bulbs. The standard aftermarket bulb in there ran many degrees hotter than a Philips bulb (which ran just a few degrees warmer). In light of possible melting of the chrome projector, I decided to go with an OEM 35 watt bulb. Never had any blown fuses, or any problems whatsoever. One time one of my lowbeams didn't turn on. I turned off the light and turned it on again seconds later and it ran fine again.

I see most of you with retro's are in NYC.
Elly I know you don't retro headlights for us, even if we paid you, but is there anyone else (or any company) with experience I can send my fogs / headlights to that will retro them for me?
Again, I'll pay for services.

Hey CCJ22,
Sorry I haven't checked my threads in a long time. I am sure HIDIllusionz can help you out, but he is based in NYC. I would recommend finding a more local vendor if possible as turnaround time would be quicker and you would get your vehicle back sooner. Try looking on HIDPlanet vendors or do a google search for local retrofitters. Maybe ClubLexus has some vendors too, though I haven't actually see anything...
As far as retrofitting fogs, I did it primarily to reduce the glare to oncoming traffic. At least here in the five boroughs, the look of 10000k fog HID kits in a nice car like an A5 ruins the look!
Hope this helps.
Lastly, my fog retro has been in place for two years with no problems or bulb replacements/ballast failures. Win!
