Edmunds test car was a stick shift car and it ran 15.4@89mph. 0-60 in 7.4 seconds.
If I had a 250, I wouldn't take it to the track, why? I already know it runs between 15.4-16.0 @89-90mph. Maybe if there were some aftermarket parts that made the is250 made the significant difference in power, then maybe someone would like to know what their new times would be with their shiny new parts
besides, who would want to go out there and be beat by civics, tc's, corolla's and dodge neons with basic bolt ons?
just my 2 cents.

ROFL, this is a funny thread... being a 350 owner i would never ever compare myself to a sti/evo apples n oranges... theres alot to learn about the car scene and not just what you read in Import Tuner
#24
you considered a sti or an evo as a "real" sports car? as an import guy myself...a vette is a real sports car.
That being said, a stock IS350 will drag a stock evo or sti all day, everyday.

LOL... funny how you are bashing on the IS350..
Fastest IS350 without nos is 12.8 with only exhaust and intake. I think this was caymandrive's car.

Stock for stock i wouldn't doubt we can easily keep up with a EVO/STI. No one is walking anyone. Don't know why you even bring it up in the first place.
You are obvious against IS350. From the other thread f-sport supercharger, you bash on IS350 automatic tranny.

Guys quit giving the guy a hard time he just wanted people to post their results, nothing special, he didn't ask for anyone to bash on him for his thread. Yeah the car isn't the fastest machine out on the road, but from my own personal experience I've put it to good use even if people choose to say what they may about the car. I've raced enough cars to know that not every car can beat it, and I don't go after small time beaters. It's all in the driver for certain things. Now on to what this thread was started for in the first place.
Some results from Dragtimes.com
1) 15.410 90.100 Lexus IS250 2006 NA
2) 15.599 86.470 2.356 Lexus IS250 2007 Tim Strobel
3) 15.779 86.730 2.296 Lexus IS250 AWD 2007 Gaugster
I can't find the review where they ran a 15.1 but I know it's out there I just need to remember who did it, I researched before I got my car. And yes I could have bought an IS350 for the extra premium I paid for a fully loaded package, but I know myself and I'd rather start slow.
Hope it helps.

The IS350 is no slouch! In straight lines it is faster than any stock STI or EVO and even stock 335i's. The transmission is also a very very good one with very little drive train loss and works flawlessly.
...and to answer the general question a 250 either manual or automatic will be lucky to run anything quicker than a mid 15 second quarter mile even with optimal weather conditions.
