Default DRL replacement bulbs..need help!!

So i already have stock HID lows, about to upgrade to the Garax 6000k bulbs. But i'd like to change my ugly yellow DRL bulbs which i understand are my high beams at a lower voltage or whatever. I was doing a search and saw people were buying HID kits for their DRL, but since i already have stock HID's i would only need to change the bulb correct, or is the HID only for my lows?? Anyways i keep reading about V Leds or something but alot of people are having problems with them going out. Bottom line is i just want to get rid of the yellow, but i dont want them turned off.

No... You'll need a kit.

The DRL's should be 9005's.

Don't know if anyone is running HIDS on the DRL's, but you can always try LEDS in there. However with LEDS, you lose the function of the high beam.

LED is the only way to go. the DRL will not fire the HID bulbs too low of a voltage!

you can run LED's with your DRL's(your DRL and highbeam are the same bulb running at different voltages) but you lose the function of your highbeam UNLESS you disable your DRL

Yes,just like they said above. You will lose the Highbeam if you go with LED.The other option is you can find the PIAA Bulb Super Plasma that will delete your stock ugly yellow and give you a white DRL ( almost white ) light at the half voltage.

I hope that will help your question.

someone in the ISF section highly recommended MTEC Cosmos Blue halogens in the DRLs. he said the output during the day is much whiter than stock, but unfortunately no pics to confirm...

Thanks...i've been reading that the v-leds are having problems with flickering or going out though. Does anyone have any pics of DRL's with only replacement bulbs in there without a kit??

you could always just have the dealer turn off the DRL funciton and keep your high beam function.

EDIT: Oppss. didn't read all the way through the OP post.

I'm running the v-led kit and I couldn't be happier with the output as a DRL. The kit basically eliminates the flicker of the led by running the correct wattage to the bulb at all times. I can try to post a picture but I'm sure others have already posted pics in the lighting thread. If you like the pic on the v-led site you won't be disappointed =)

I've seen pics and i really like it as well, problem is they are sold out right now on the V-led website. Thats why i was asking if anyone knows a different website to get these from or a different kit that works and looks the same.
