I kind of think its foolish to run lights on in daytime, oncoming cars also prob think ur an idiot too.

Just remember to turn your light off & with oncoming car no problems at all

If you want the DRL's off, you have to get it done when u get it serviced?
Does your highbeams still work? and once you turn ur drl's off, its off completely or on at night too?

First of all, I have read threads about people leaving the HIDs on auto and having problems with the blubs because of it. IF you start the car in the garage, the headlights will turn on because the light level is low in the garage. Then you go out and the headlights will turn off because of the sun. Sounds good right? Well supposedly, HIDs does not like to flicker. Causes the blubs to burn out faster in the future. Because of those threads, I have not turn my headlights to auto. Also Lexus does not flash the headlights when you lock/unlock the door like Acura.
Leaving the headlights on all the time? Well, that looks a lot nicer but you do look stupid driving around. Because it is a Lexus, people assume you have auto headlights and they don't work. Also, the interior lighting will be dimmer and the navigation will switch back and forth between day/night colors when driving under a shade like an overpass. More problems might occur so I just only leave my headlights on when needed and turn them off at the end of the night.
To each his own.
