HELP! My IS 250 has sprung a leak!?!?!?
#121
Just bought my car a few weeks ago and noticed the rear floor boards damp to the touch as well. I knew car being an '07 is out of warranty so I tackled it myself. I drove up on a set of rhino ramps and removed the small plastic trans shield. I then used my cell phone video camera as my eyes as I leaned it at just the right angle above the transmission and got a hold of the plug with a small pair of pliers and yanked it out. Not really that hard of a job just make sure your car is cooled down and you have flexible arms. lol If anyone is in my area that needs help with theirs I'd be happy to help.

so once again my rear carpet area is wet but this time i have no idea where it is clogged. i removed the grommet a couple of years ago and everything seems fine til a week ago. i checked the sunroof drain holes, those are fine. where else can i possibly check for clogs? appreciate the help!

Thanks to all for the help. I just wanted to add that if you have the car jacked up and remove the grommet on the AC plug and you are surprised with how little water comes out, wait until you lower the jack... once I lowered my jack down the water came out in abundance.
