Default POOO!!!! car got owned :(

i was leaving school this past tuesday and got hit from the side.. and the b!#$* nearly took off my bumper.. at first i didn't think it was tooo bad since it just looks like the bumper popped out.. but then i see damage to the frame.. and my trunk is alittle off center
her insurance is paying for everything and the claim adjuster gave me an estimate for 3400 i don't know if thats much

Just wondering what your guys experiences are if i should go to the dealer to get it fixed? or should i try a private shop.. i really don't know any shop owners though

also if any of you guys live in houston and know any good repair shops.. please PM me

Can't tell from the pics if the frame was damaged. But $3400 seems little if the frame and truck is damaged. Also, you should just take it to a local Lexus dealership to get fixed since the other party is going to pay for everything. Unless you know a better shop. Good luck.

$3400 to fix the frame and trunk? i think that's cutting it short to be honest.

if the person who hit you is going to pay in full regardless just go to the dealership and get it checked out and fixed =) nothing like getting a brand new OEM part unless you already modded it..

the part thats hanging off a little, next to the tire, I lifted it up and see damage to the metal part and theres no telling what other damage is underneath like the exhaust

she was in a honda element and it wasn't like she was going fast, was like 10mph? guessing....also forgot to mention this was in the school parking lot : \

You have the right to choose your body shop and just tell them to tow it there and have the estimator go to the shop and get it estimated with the shop.

Sorry about the damage. Fortunate nothing major, and you're doing alright from the small accident. Just a warning to be careful to both parties! Your attention and alertness can never totally make up for other people's stupidity.

The quote I took from my driving school teacher: "Treat every other driver out there like they're a ******* moron and you may be alright."
