Here's my question.

I have a 2007 IS 250 that has had numerous rattles, noises etc...It's been to the dealer many times and it's better but not "Lexus like". The dealer offered to take me out of is and put me into an 09 for approx $2k with the same payment.

For all of you that have an '09, are they quiet? Have the issues been addressed in year #3 of production?

Get the 350 if you can. I want to trade mine for the 350 so bad but I haven't get a chance yet. Can't find the color

 

get the 350, i was gonna get the 250 but i spent a little more to get the 350... totally worth it.

and they are pretty quiet and no issues so far.

except someone ****ed up my tints lol but thats the shops fault

The 350 all the way. Don't get the slowsky 250.

 

he's not going to be able to go a 350 for 2k with the same payments. everything would be greatly increased.


if you really don't like your 07 and are willing to spend for the upgrade go with it then.

 

From what I've read, the 09's have less interior rattle... so the decision is really up to you! Do you want to spend $2,000 to have less rattle?

I wouldn't drop that type of cash just to get slightly less rattle, but its up to you.

 

Performance wise, I really don't need the 350. Overall I liked the 250, it's just the noises that I can do without; "plastic noises". If they have truly been dealt with in the 09's then I think it's worth it.

It would be like I had a 2 year lease, the lease it up, get to put $2k down on a 5 year purchase for approx $375/month.

What helps in the transaction is the 2.9% financing which makes the payment similar.

 

A 2009 IS does not guarantee you any fewer rattles. My '06 IS350 is three years old and is as quiet as a churchmouse with no rattles at all. It's often just the luck of the draw. Some cars have rattles, some don't.

 

Depending where you live some lexus vehicles have extra insulation in them for colder areas to keep heat in during the winter. I had them remove this in mine and I have zero squeaks and rattles now =)

 

I haven't noticed any interior rattle in mine.

 

I own a 06 an really havent had any rattles

 

i've got an '09 250. no rattles.

 

i got 09 IS250 no rattle 15k KMs

 

06 is350. zero rattles
