I'm jealous too. I'm thinking at least the connector and the cover should be available to us, right? I'm thinking I could route a Vaistech setup to that location...
I'd be willing to be it's exactly the same ipod interface they've been selling for a while now, just they install it with an OEM looking plug in the center console for it.
I have realtime traffic, lane assist, 3d building view, and a buncha other modern features... and lifetime map updates... and an extra $2200 in my pocket... because I bought a garmin instead of the sedan OEM nav
I bet there'll be folks looking to retrofit the IS-C nav system into the IS sedan now though.
The iPod hook up that is shown in the picture above is just a USB port. Is that what the current iPod integration port that is available for purchase is?
Seeing Lexus finally go to a HDD based NAV system is great. The DVD nav system was actually the deal braker for me when I was recently looking at an 08 IS350.
I think the 250C comes with DVD nav yet and the 350C comes with the HDD system. Now all they need to do is add hard drive capacity for music, to store music in the car and not have to mess with cd's or iPods.
