Your dealer will (or should) be willing to help you. As soon as I said something to my dealer they said they know all about rattles on the IS. The put some stripping on my driver's side dash (need a piece on passenger side, and the moonroof lubed next time I go). I also had the seat squeak TSIB done.
Us guys/gals with bumpy roads (do they have bumps in FL, and CA?) are more prone to the rattles and this car seems very prone to them..more so than any Honda/Toyota/Dodge/Ford I've owned. My old man just laughs at me and tells me his American car is fine.

On behalf of the beancounters at Toyota Corporate, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you for looking past easily fixed issues on a friggin LEXUS.
For those of you that find this normal, drive any pre-2006 Lexus. No rattles, period.
Lexus has saved a few bucks per car by not taking care of potential rattles at the factory, and counts on each of you to not mind because it's an "entry level Luxury car". Do yourselves a favor, and expect more for your money.
