Why is this car so noisy. Never experienced any car in the past that rattle as much as the IS.
1: The area between the boarded and the gauge window rattle - but was fixed with felt (so fine whatever Ill let that go).
2: Now the driver side vent rattles over bumps.
3. Metal rattle noise over bumps-took it to the dealer they told me it was the e-brake, said they readjusted it but of course the noise is back.
4. Car squeaks when I back out of my driveway-have no idea what that is about.
I have 3000 miles on this 2008 IS 250. Beginning to feel like I bought a lemon. Honestly guys as an IS driver are we suppose to really pump up the music and just pretend all these noises do not exist? Please tell me there are other people out there that have similar problems as me because I really want to know how you guys deal with it.

I got alot of rattles too. Strange thing is they seem to go away after a while and come back somewhere else. Way too much hassle to bring it in to the dealership for every little rattle, plus they may actually do more harm taking it apart and putting it back together.
I learned to just deal with it. The rattles are pretty minor. You can't hear them over the music or a rolled down window anyways. This is an entry level sports sedan, I don't expect it to be built like a tank.

Rattles have been well talked about and known with the 2IS. My '08 ith 8k miles has some, but nothing I can't live with. Every car will have some issues and if this is as bad as it gets, it's not such a bad thing.

The adjustment is very critical. I had this clicking/rattle coming from the rear. It took 3 adjustments until the senior Tech told me that each rear wheel has to be separately adjusted perfectly and then the slack has to be taken out of the cable. No more noise.
I also had the vent rattle and they replaced the whole vent. No more vent rattle.
The worst rattle I had was the dash rattle. The Stealer ordered some kind of dash rattle kit and disassembled the whole dash (took two days).
I haven't any rattles since (Over a year).
Make a list, find a good Stealer and you will be a happy camper!

Thanks guys for all the input, I know the car is an entry level lexus but its still irritating when it only has 3000 miles, i figure it will just get worse in the future.
