F-Sport 19-inch Wheels - Your Experience?
1) For those of you who have the F-Sport 19s, or have driven cars with them, what are your thoughts about:
>How do the wheels affect real world handling?
>How do they affect the harshness of the ride?
>One review said they have a loud hum. True?
>Do the 19s fill up the wheel well with the stock suspension?
>How much does the wheel & tire combination add up to with installation ($)?
>What tires were they matched with? Are they 15K tires?
Thanks

I like them, they look better in person than in pictures. I really like the fact that they are 19s, no rubbing, and still oem.
As for handling, I'd have to say that's more of the tires than the wheels itself? I could be wrong.
Loud hum? Not sure if the wheels causes that. I would think the tires more than the wheels.
the 19s fill up the wheel well pretty well in my opinion, at least the back does. It also depends on the size of tires you get. I went with the lexus recommedation on their site.
I paid I think 1200 or 1300 for the wheels of of a CL person. Tires were quite expensive, I got the Michellin pilot sport ps2 so they ran like 200-300 per tire I believe.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need different lug nuts to fit the fsport wheels? I'm not sure, but I went with fsport lug nuts as well.
hope this helps!

OutCaster: Thanks. That helps. (I should have clarified that the review was referring to the Michelins on the wheels. Do you agree with the review notes below?)
"The Michelin Pilot Sport tires stick to the ground like glue, but the tradeoff is dramatically increased tire “hum” and a tendency to grab longitudinal grooves in the road surface. Los Angeles, a major Lexus market, has an unlimited supply of such freeways. They make the car feel “twitchy,” an unfortunate side effect of the three wide water evacuation grooves on each tire." >How do the wheels affect real world handling?
They handle pretty well. But then again, I don't drive aggressive anymore.
>How do they affect the harshness of the ride?
Because tires are thinner, you feel every bump more so than 18".
>One review said they have a loud hum. True?
I'm running Bridgestones, so no hum here. Very smooth and quiet.
>Do the 19s fill up the wheel well with the stock suspension?
No, they are the same driving diameter as 18"s because you'll be using lower profile tires.
>How much does the wheel & tire combination add up to with installation ($)?
Not as expensive as JDM wheels (Volks, Works, SSR etc)
>What tires were they matched with? Are they 15K tires?
OEM recommended size is 225/35/19 F and 255/35/19 R. I'm running 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19.
Hope this helps.

Not sure about the "hum" as I don't hear anything. Though the tires are still fairly new.
And I don't think I get any of the "twitchy" feel it's talking about.
