Default Removing and reinstalling the rear spoiler?

While driving down the interstate an object came flying over the top and ended up hitting the top of the trunk leaving a ding on the trunk and a small dent w/ fractured paint on at the crest of the spoiler.
A new painted OEM rear spoiler from Sewell is about $117+ shipping w/ CL discount code.
I recieved an estimate of approx. $675 from the Lexus recommended body shop. It seems the dent on the trunk lid estimated around $125 the rest was for the spoiler and related labor. The estimate is for repairing the spoiler not replacing it. The estimate seemed a bit exaggerated. I felt I could have the ding in the trunk fixed possibley with the dentless procedure while replacing the spoiler myself.

How difficult or easy is it to remove the existing spoiler and replace it w/ a new painted OEM spoiler?
TIA.

if you already have an OEM spoiler it will be simple remove and install. The new spoiler comes with instructions to do the whole thing yourself.

to remove it... you can try using fishing lines.. it'll help taking the tape off

If you bought a new spoiler.. It's a easy DIY...

As far as the trunk.. I'd get a 2nd opinion.

My bad.

So the existing spoiler and the new spoiler are held on by double sided tape?
