Default 168 DRL parking light??

I just recently bought the PIAA extreme white 168 bulb for the drl parking light in the head light. Its the tiny bulb in the upper right corner where the drl/high beam in located. Im not happy with the bulb I got because its showing up as a bright blue and my HID's headlights and fogs are white. I feel it looks kinda ricey...

My questions is if I put a LED 168 bulb in their to replace it will I lose my High Beams? I know if i replace the actual 9005 drl/high beam with a LED I will lose the high beam option but what it I just do it to the 168 parking light?

you will not lose high beam for 168...if you change the 9005 to LED then you will lose high beam

Do you have pics of 168 PIAA bulb? I thought PIAA Xtreme White was a white bulb in color, not blue? Is it that blue in color?

Well, i actually had a similar thread to this, and from what i learned every recommends not going the LED route for 9005 because you lose high beam = losing visibility.

no u will not lose the high beam function. the parking/city light is at the top, the high beams are the one directly in the middle. if u only swap the parking/city light to leds u still keep ur high beams. its only when u swap ur high beams size 9005 to led is when u lose it. leds would probably be better match for ur hid. it has a little hint of blue but if u have 6000k on ur low beams it would match perfectly.

also just to clear up some confusion the drl is the high beams they are not the parking/city lights.

correct... your high beams (9005) are also your "day time running lights" (drl) the only difference is that they are run at 30% power during the day. your "city lights" is the small 168 bulb you're referring to that sits in the same housing with your high beam... they have nothing to do with each other

No u will keep your highbeam because you didnt get a LED. If u are looking to match the factory hit or even get a white look for your DRL take them back. I have them and I love them but by no means are they white or do they match the low beam. They are less amber than factory and the highbeam is very bright
