Default Just finished the 2 Day Skip Barber .....

Just took the Family to the 2 day Skip Barber Driving School.

What a rush, The only downer was a blowout (on July 4th) on the way home on the ES. Nice guys in the shop though.

The course was an intense 2 days of very humbling excercises.

Skid pad, braking, quick lane changing, Autocross (#2 son beat me by 4/10ths of a second), heel and toe shifting, accident avoidance, classroom time.

Remember that high school physics you hated, it all starts to fall into place.

Cars: RX8s, MX5s, 3s and a Porche Cayenne showed up for the 2nd afternoon.

What a blast hammering the Porche around the Autoross Track. "Like no other!"

Liked it enough to put a deposit down for the High Performnace School next summer!

The Skip Barber Driving Schools teach you how to handle your car at the edge. Hopefully, in situations you will never get into onthe street or track

They have both performance driving schools and race driving schools.

It was the only place my 18 and 20 year olds were going to hear take that Porsche and don't be afraid to beat the hell out of it.

It was a great 2 days.

They HAD Vipers.

The High Performance school, which is more expensive, uses Porsches, BMWs and Lexus ISFs
