Well, I saw this only on the www.lexus.jp website...meaning its stupidly 'exclusive' for Japan. Once again, I dont know whats the difference between Jap and America version, only one has the steering wheel on the right and the other on the left.

This is a repeat of a rehash of a repost... Here's the skinny:
So far, the remote has only been confirmed to work with only JDM IS's... No one knows if it will work with a USDM IS because it hasn't been attempted yet. Carson has a unit, but Carson is a Toyota dealer, and doesn't have an IS to try it on. They were looking for a test fitter that would be willing to pay the cost of the unit. So far, they haven't found anyone willing to gamble with that much money. For those wondering why it wouldn't be compatible, it has to do with the fact that the JDM and USDM IS's have completely different ECU's. For this to work, there are a variety of modules that have to work together to certify access to the keyless lock and starting systems. If it doesn't work, you'll be left with a 3,500 pound paperweight.

the right pic is the dash of the car. On top of the dash, it has a transmitter or some sort to recieve the signal from the remote. Lets just say, its an antenna with a base secured to the dash that helps long range transmission
