Why are all you guys from warm climates after this? What's the use of a remote starter in LA?

Even in Vancouver a starter isn't really necessary...

Did you get nav on your AWD?

well, the main purpose im going to use it for is warming the car up first thing in the morning. I usually do that for 5-10 mins in the garage to make sure the car is ready. Or, during really hot weathers and need to park outside, gota start it up first and let the air-con work. Another time is during the winter so that I can warm up the car easier when its parked outside.

No Nav on the AWD. I dont really need it when I already have it on the ES.

Yeah, it's probably quite helpful even in Vancouver's mild climate. I was asking as most CL members seem to be from CA/TX.

No nav on my RWD either... wanted it but nav/ML aren't offered on the RWD 250 in Canada. Well at least now I'm not jealous...

I know that the 06-07 Toyota Avalons have a remote starter system built into the keyless system. Now if Toyota will put it in an Avalon, why not an IS?

Might be a waste, but I doubt people who live in genuinely cold climates will want to wait for 10 minutes inside the car until the heater is ready to go.

hah, i rather waste some gas so that the engine is warmed up than to drive the car right away during a cold-start.

Warming up a engine is never considered 'waste of gas'... You guys are talking crazy talk.
