Can you suggest a bulb
For my IS250, it doesn't have HID nor do I want to upgrade to HID. I just want a bulb replacement for my headlight that will be white and bright, (similar to HID white). Any suggestions?

These look good for the price...
Is there a big difference between the ULTRA and just the normal one?
Looks bright that's for sure!
Seems like there isn't much difference in their chart.
Another newb question...
Does this bulb work for both hi- and lo- beam?
I wanna buy this, I see there are models 9001-9007... How do I know which one I need for the is250?

Without a doubt go PIAA extreme white! It almost matches the color the the HID lights on the Lexus. I looked around for lights and did so much research nothing beats the quality of PIAA i couldnt be happier I have them in my fog, drl, and parking lights. They can be a little more expensive then others but its worth it. Around 60-80 bucks depending on where you get them. They look white with no hint of blue or amber color either and are very bright!!

Sylvania Ultras are very bright, but are very yellow in color (comparable to halogen based on my previous experience). You will find that the whiter the color temperature, the less output you will see on the road because most, if not all these "HID color" bulbs utilize a blue tint which will decrease light transmission.
a HID kit will produce far better output, though there will be increased glare, at a fairly low price (85 dollars). I would recommend that instead.

+1 for Sylvania Silverstars. Had nothing but great experiences with them. Piaa are nice too.
Getting an HID kit like Ell Y suggested is a option you should consider. Its a little more expensive than just purchasing a pack of replacement bulbs but it might be closer to what you're looking for.

I feel you on that one! I also have the PIAA Xtreme White LED's for my fogs and they are the next best thing to HID's. I agree, they are going to be more expensive, but well worth the extra cost in my opinion. The color is almost a dead on match with the stock HID's. Go with PIAA!

Sorry to refresh this thread, but I'm looking at doing the same thing. I want to replace my daytime running lamp with something close to my HID's in color.
Is this what everyone is thinking: http://www.amazon.com/PIAA-15211-Sty...=pd_rhf_shvl_1
Does anyone have some pictures?
