F-Sport Install Price from Sewell?
I picked up the F-Sport sway bar set and Lowering Springs from Sewell. While there I asked for a install quote and was told it would cost $1251!! Heck the parts only cost me $600!
What have some of the other members here paid to have their parts installed?

The Lexus dealer I had my F Sport accessories installed charges $140/per hour....if my calculations are correct, should not cost more than $900 (in labor) to install your stuff.
But get this and I'm sure the service manager I spoke to was smoking something. He quoted me $600.00 (labor) to install aluminum pedals. Thats f#cken 4hrs. of labor to install 3 pieces of metal. I'm in the wrong business.

Intake, exhaust, AND sway bars can all be done, very very easily.
The rear sway takes like 15 minutes if you have a friend to help... the front maybe 30-60 min depending how slow you go.
The intake is 30 minutes tops, by yourself, and most of that time is just poping the engine covers on and off
The exhaust is 15-30 minutes by yourself, tops.
None of it requires a lift, air tools, or anything else fancy..and I'd strongly suggest anybody who can read English and turn a wrench not pay somebody to install any of em.
Springs are enough of a pain I could see paying a shop, but I still wouldn't pay dealer rates for it... (then again I've no plans to swap off the stock sport suspension springs)

Installing springs and sways is about a 3.5 to 4 hour job. 2 hr. for springs 1.75 hr. for sways. Dealerships jack up the time and then charge their labor rate which is about 50% higher than an independant mech. If my dealer would have charged me 3.75 hrs labor I would have GLADLY had my work done there, but they wanted about $900 to to the job.LOL. I have NO PROBLEM paying for dealer rates for the time it ACTUALLY takes to get the work done. I ended up having it done by an independent $150 for springs, $160 for sways. Got the sways done first, and Tommy@Musicbox did my springs 2 wks. ago.

Me and a buddy did em (no lift) in about 1:15 for both bars, and that's with having to jack up/jack stand each end as we worked on it.
If you had a lift and air tools like a shop does you ought be able to do both in under an hour.

Yeah Sewell installed my exhaust two years ago for like $130 so this came as quite the shock. Oh well... guess I'll be looking for an independent shop in Dallas to do the springs. Might be able to get my brother to help out with the sways.

dealers are always baaddddd, they wanted almost $200 to install my f-sport quickshift and i watched them through the window, they were done in 30min..the other 30min was it was sitting in the car wash line, getting detailed and them test driving it around the building..i got it discounted because the finance manager had to go through BS with me on my contract when the last finance manager who had sold me the car added dumb services i didn't know about..tire/wheel protection for like $2000 for 3 years on stock crap..which didn't include replacing, just fixing. also exterior care..some protectant on top of the cars paint/clearcoat..gotta say it doesn't do crap, and it was i think another $1000, and it was to be put on each year for 2 years HAHA ok?. and this was in computers but not on the contract? HELLOoooO0 oh and the windshield was covered...but if it cracked, they only glue what they can LOL..oh and if u get a dent they will only fix the dent, not the paint damage..i don't get it..so i got all my money back n they treat me so well since. think it was $120 total..but still like do the job n giuve me my car..don't BS me on how long it took i saw it go up n down the lift @$$Holee..and springs are a 2-3 hour deal typically..go to a body shop not a dealer..my friends dad does them for $200 no matter how long it takes..

Damn, just had springs installed by the dealer...picking the car up in a bit. They quoted me $287.50, not including the springs obviously. The kicker was the alignment, gotta go back next week and it requires 4-wheel blah blah blah, but they want $170 for that.
