Default is350 or 04 ls430

so im in the market to buy a new car and i have to decide if i want an 06
IS350 or an 04 LS430. i know they are both different classes and such but im trying to figure out which is best for me. Now im only 23 and people are saying that the LS is an old mans car which i kinda see why but you can make those cars look really nice. now the IS350 is a great car also. plenty of power and the aftermarket parts on those cars are amazing. so many things can be done compared to the LS. im also on a budget which is $23,000 so im looking all over for the IS350 which is hard to find with under 50,000 miles. Now the LS are all over for the price. let me know what you guys think and if you can recommend where to find the IS350 other then autotrader and cars.com/// now i can pick up the IS250 for that price but feel its underpowered compared to the IS350 so im trying to stay away from the 250. i just sold my c5 corvette so i def need the extra power.. let me know what you guys think and appreciate your input..

Being in the IS group, you'll get a little bias for the IS350. IMHO, figure out what you want for a car. My long time friend likes a smooth ride, and plenty of room for clients when he takes them out for lunch/dinner. He can't really zip around town in NYC so the LS would be perfect for him. In my case, I like the IS due to the fact that I am single, rarely have more than one other person with me and the roads here allow me to open up the car from time to time.

Price wise, you will have to ask others here for help. I haven't really looked recently on prices.

Depends what you are looking for. Compact sport sedan or true luxury sedan.

This isnt a biased opinion, as I dont own either, But I would go for the LS. It always makes my head turn. Something about that big body. Its way more plush than the IS. Throw in some aftermarket VIP items, and your good. It isnt too slow for its size either. 0-60 in 6.1 I think If you do go for the IS make sure you get the 350. The 250 is a real slouch. Good Luck

Wow, that's a tough choice. LS430 is one of my favorite cars - looks great in stock form, and absolutely fantastic when modded. Like everyone else has said, this decision has more to do with what you want than which car is "better." Good luck, you can't go wrong either way - they're both great cars!

2 very different cars, but if you really want a sport sedan the only choice is the IS350.

Since you owned a Vette, are you going to be happy in the next few years to drive a LS that is close to one second slower in the quarter than the IS350

i agree. you really can't compare. 04 LS looks really outdated compared to 06 IS. You might as well get a new Camry if you're going to spend that much.

Yep, AGE I'm only 70 and have an ISF. IMHO, it's not how old you are, but what you're looking for. As much as I admire the engineering in the LS, they just aint for me
