Hello all, I just purchased this from 2point5 and will be installing it (along with the VAIS unit) either tonight or tomorrow (worst case scenario, next weekend, as I have a test coming up). I should have pics up soon!

Hey Schuchert, thanks for the suggestion. I purchased and installed the Spec.dock and made a thread with a review of it (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...cs-inside.html). Let me know what you guys think!

I have a 2009 IS250 and want to do this mod.

A couple of questions.

1) I don't have the Nav system, but I have the iPod interface that came with the car.
2) Will the iPod interface plug from the car plug on the ash tray dock from spec.dock plug? I couldn't tell from the photos what the interface was on the other end of the cable that was attached to the ash tray dock.

Thanks,
Jason

From what I understand, if you pay $100, you'll have to send in your cable so it can be made into the iPod interface plug on the ash tray dock (2point5 will glue your cable onto the spec.dock).

If you pay $150, they'll send you a ash tray spec.dock with a female adapter that you'd plug your current cable directly into.

I believe this is correct... let me know if I'm wrong.

kbkura how long did it take for you to get a reply from the guys at 2point5?

I emailed them but haven't heard back. Also how long was the turn around to get the dock from them?

Thanks

First contact took about a day or two. Matt (matt@2point5.com) was pretty consistent with getting back to me and I e-mailed him a few times. Although I don't know if he wants everyone e-mailing him... he's apparently the CMO/Co-founder.

The turn around for the dock was within a business week. It took two days for it to get from my house to their place (I live in New Orleans, LA), a day for them to put it together, and maybe less than two days to get it back to me.
