SO stupid.... i never knew they will write you up for smoked tail lights, my friend just took off the tint himself and it was his 1st time seem pretty easy, so the cop did not say anything about your exhaust?

got pulled over for not having a front license... couple weeks ago

I live in the Bay Area and know numerous people who have gotten tint tickets and none have had to remove it on the spot. That's not even really a reasonable request if you have nothing to remove it with. What part of the Bay Area was this?

Sorry to hear about your fix it ticket. I've got a no front license plate when I was driving my RX330. An RX! Police will pull you over for anything if they feel like it.

I agree with others, Soap, water, razor blade, lots of time and patience should do the trick. Starting from the top on the right side would be my approach. Hopefully you have a friend in law enforcement who can sign it off so you won't have to go through all the trouble. Nonetheless, good luck.

I agree with smoked tail light tickets. I've come in situations where I couldn't tell that the driver in front of me was braking because the brake lights were so dim.

HAhaha that's funny if they make you remove it on the spot. Completely unreasonable!

my fronts are 35%.. The CHP told me its totally illegal in California!! Damn i seriously got pulled over many times in LA and never a ticket, they usually just tell me to roll down the windows when I approach any cops. These words are coming from the COPS lolz.. But this time they caught me off guard.. Oh wells!! i'm going to take it off and pull it darker in the front lmao!!

Well when i smoked my tail lights i made sure it was still visible and it completely is. I guess with the economy being so bad they'll do anything to make money now-a-days

Yep, we knew 35% was marginal on the fronts. I would probably have used 50% on my front windows if I didn't have the cop friend for sign offs. Although in over 5 years of driving with 35% tint on fronts, I haven't been cited yet.

My Lexus came with a front plate, so I left it on since that attracts more attention from the law.

Yep its been a year for me driving around with 35% in the fronts. Yeah thats the only reason i bought the car with the front plates cause i knew for sho if I fix up my ride its going to cost me a ticket lolz

IMHO tinted rear lens and a missing front plate are 2 significant red flags to law enforcement that not all us want to wave. Extra dark limo or 20% tint covering the 3rd brake light isn't much better to some cops.

35% tint on a dark-colored car used consistently on all 5 window doesn't attract too much attention (that's what I use on a SGM exterior/gray interior), but 50% on the 2 fronts is a safer bet IMHO.

I went to California Tint in Rosemead and it's only $10 to remove the front windows.

My friend got tickets for his tint. He took it to a judge and showed her pics of the car BEFORE it had tints. She bought it and signed it off.
