just get a flathead screw driver and a hammer and bend the tab up. doing this will still allow you to use that screw with that mounting point. i did that on mine and it doesnt rub as often anymore

#1 - cut the metal hanging vertical off.
#2 - Remove that black bumper snap fitting out and toss it.
#3 - Use the tabs ( these are bumper tabs) that used to snap in the black fitting above to mount SS bolts into the metal finder. Mark your holes with the tabs
#4 - predrill your holes ( be careful not to punch through the upper finder, drill slow)
#5 - Use bolts and washer in each tab.
*** You can tuck rim and drive all day everyday and never scrub again. *** Just remember full lock turns your tire is tucked, it can crush the finder under full lock.

So..basically you are jus getting rid of the black fitting that the hex screw used to screw into? and just straight screwing the bumper tab to the metal tab? the metal is still there to scrap the tire tho? I might not be picturing this right. Thanks for any help HKS350.

Damn I wish you had pictures to go with this...I'm a visual kind of guy.
All I did was pound the crap out of that bracket till it bent up enough.
