Leave the IS350 stock!
#46
For me, I feel that modding a car attracts vandals, thieves, etc, and also if you get in an accident, your insurance company will most likely not cover replacement of your mods unless you have a special rider on your policy (not even sure which companies do this)... So, it's just money thrown away if anything happens to your car. I do have to admit that all the mods I see on here are very sexy and tempting, but I own my IS350 because i *LOVE* driving it, I could care less about what people think of how my car looks as long as it doesn't look trashed.
BTW, maybe someone should do an age poll on owners who keep their car stock, something tells me for the older members of this board the %age of modded vehicles go down.

I don't really care what people do but am I the only one that wants to leave their car stock? (Wheel, Lowering them etc). I can see doing performance modifications but aesthetic modifications aren't for me .
I just LOVE the look of the car.
So who else loves the stock IS and isn't going to do anything to it?

Paint i would be guessing $500 in California. Or you can just get the Seibon kit. $1200 without paint and it's in carbon fiber. There you go for a $5000 budget..

My car was stock for a year until I went to a Lexus meet, and there goes my savings.
If you are planning to keep your car stock don't go to a Lexus meet cause the mod bug will bite you.

The is350 is technically a fast car... I bought the IS350 so I wouldn't have to heavily modify the car to be fast. I just wanted to focus on the outside. I'm done my turbo days, from my previous honda.

+1 on this I love to mod but hate to waste money & it is impossible to match OEM engineering so i try to stay with OEM parts especially while under warranty. I like the OEM X-pac & am putting it on my car. I have never been a Lexus fan & even less so now so I have dechromed or removed emblems to delexify my car
