I was like you once. Then the mod bug hit me hard this year. I got bored basically. My car looked like every other 2IS on the road. Now I get thumbs up and looks everywhere I go. Although, I am already getting bored again....

You have different perspective than everyone else. It doesn't necessarily mean that it looks like a riced out Civic. If you like your stock look, no need to bash on modded cars and call them ricers. That is just uncalled for.. 
And plus, I don't want my car to look like every other old women that drives this car that uses it as a family sedan..If you want that look that's good for you..

1. I would like to point out that I don't have a different perspective than everyone else as a majority of cars do *not* undergo significant mods (which is one justification people on here give for performing mods).
2. I didn't say *every* car that was modded looked like a riced out Civic. If I did, then I would be insulting my minor-mod future (which I mentioned in my OP), which makes no sense.
3. What I did say was that I like the stock look; I also said my goal is to ride the line between luxury and performance (which is part of the reason why I bought the car in the first place).
4. Having said all that, if you think stock = old woman then your entire post would be the pot calling the kettle black, not?
Regardless, I think you read faaaaaar too much into my post, but I would point out we are both entitled to our opinions (and as I've not seen your car, I could not comment on yours personally...nor would I now. lol. I guess I'll just stick to being an old woman. lol).I'm just giving the OP a 'lil love (on his thread) after being told (by various other people) that he needs to mod, and that this forum is for modding, etc.
To each their own, which also includes a 'lil love for people that have their IS at or near stock!

its great living in a town on the Big Island of Hawaii....you rarely ever see anyone with a lexus IS!! I've only seen a SGM, GFM, SP, a light blue (old glacier frost mica) and my black lexus IS on the road
Only 5 lexuses in the whole town:P you'll still be noticed even though you're completely riding stock....very nice

I swore I wouldn't do anything dramatic besides a front lip...but once I saw the car with the front lip, I knew I would get a roof spoiler as well!

don't consider tint to be mod, it should've been like that from the factory.. they do that for the suvs.. so i have those. really helps on sunny hot days. otherwise, the is350 is completely stock
oh btw, for those who think there isn't much for the is in terms of mod "availability and diversity".. u've never tried modding a volvo

yea that's what i thought too at first, when I got my car two months ago... in about a month I'm gona have dropped around 7k on it...gg summer earnings but i don't regret it one bit...if the mod bug does bite, i will pray for your wallet
