Tonight is the night I go over and sign some papers for my new Obsidian IS350. I'm nervous, but excited. This is like the birth of a child. I have a boy coming August 12th, and this baby coming hopefully tomorrow.
Looking forward to talking with all of you about my new baby. What should I expect the first week? Sleepless nights? Midnight trips to get fast food just for the heck of it? Trying to blow away another "luxury" car at the red light?
Happy weekend everyone...

Also you will start to think of places to take the car "just cause". That or your gf/wife will fight you to take car to drive everywhere...
Congrats and Enjoy !

All of the above.
Random trips at midnight to get food when I'm not actually hungry. Random cruises around town with the music turned up.
Occasional WOTs to get the epinephrine running (have to be careful though as it's break in period!)
Going into the garage at 1 AM just admiring the car front back and side to side.
Sitting in the car at 1 AM in my garage without actually turning it on and without any intention to go anywhere, just sitting there and smelling the fine leather/new car smell.
What else... reveling in the fact that I'm driving a 0 to 60 MPH in 4.9 seconds stock vehicle (torquestats.com, road and track). Being as fast as a stock Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2005) 0 to 60 and through the quarter mile. Realizing that only a handful of stock vehicles out there are faster (the IS-Fs, the M3s, the C63 AMGs... chipped 335i yes but then again that isn't quite stock)
Trying to find excuses to go out and drive. List goes on, really.

Haha I think I may be an odd case because I came from the lowest of the low as far as cars go ($2000 used honda civic; my first car). Going from that to a $40k car is a big jump for me hah.
335i's are fast there's no doubt. I can definitely believe 4.8 for the 335i, it's a fantastic car.

Road and track rates the 335i at 5.0 flat to 60. For that vehicle though 4.8 doesn't sound unreasonable at all.
With that JB3 chip I've heard stories of it making it into the 3s (3.9) which is just obscenely fast.
