Default sold my MT 250, help with used 350 pricing please!

I sold my 250 today to a private buyer, and let me tell you, waiting pays off!

I found an 08 basic (non nav, premium...) with 20000 for about 30k from a private seller. And he said thats the bottom line because he is buying out the lease. According to him the car is in good shape with only few rock chips, but of course i will determine that when i look at it sunday.

Kbb 'good' is worth 30500.

Could anyone chime in if this is a good deal?

Thanks in advance

In this economy today, you shouldn't pay anything close to KBB. If you look hard enough, you can find people who sell below KBB fair value for private party. Good luck.

nada.com is what banks loan off and is the most realistic terms to look at when shopping for a used car.

My car is loaded plus I even have nav and am selling for around the same price with the same miles. nav is +4000.00 so just shop around. Heck you'd be better off buying the ones around here and just driving back to florida.

Try to find one from a dealer instead. The dealer I bought mine from had 6 350s on the lot that weren't selling for ages. I took good advantage of that and got a premium, lux package 06 with 27K miles for 26K.

I got a brand new 08' IS350 for $35,900 - take that into consideration... try to look for an 08' - PLENTY of dealers still have 08's on their lots, especially in the Tri-State area

I would say thats a ok price. But with a non-Nav its only worlth 26K to 28K at most. With navi 30K to 32K. But for the price you're willing to spend i would purchase a car for a authorize dealership that will certify your new car, even better you might be able to get something with a better warranty. Oh yeah i got my info from a friend that works at a dealership, and sorry he doesnt have any IS in stock rite now. GLWB

just got my 2006 IS 350 luxury package, navigation, mark levinson sound system. brand new tires, almost new break , 30k service just done at around 28,000 miles.

i got it for 32K flat out the door and the car has 28,000 miles on it. i got it from a lexus dealership with 3 years 100,000 miles warranty.

just ignore the years ( as a lexus dealers do the same), i would not pay 30,000 for a basic model.

i agree, patience is key!

i also picked up last week an '06 sgm is350 w/ 34k miles on the clock for 29k OTD. i can honestly say that this car came loaded! in typical fashion, it has the ml navigation as well as the luxury package w/ 18" wheels. as an added bonus, this car also has the headlight washers, parking assistance, pre-collision w/ radar cruise control, front/rear ground effects, trunk spoiler, clear bra and nice tint job.

i was skeptical of the purchase price but did my due diligence at the lexus dealership and everything checked out including the 30k and the most recent oil change at 33k.

sorry to drag it out but the point is if you look hard enough you will find what you're looking for, good luck with your search.

btw, this site is full of knowledge...i love it!!!
