I take it you didn't test drive an IS350 before buying your car. The ES350 is MUCH less potent.
Like the IS, the ES has ventilated seats, not cooled ones, though they may work better than ours.

When i had a es350 loaner for the fuel line stuffs... its was FANTASTIC in a straight line, the ride was sooooo lexus'ish
not at all like my modded 350
i was in heaven...
but...
i took a hwy onramp at a modest speed (knowing its a passenger car), there was this thing on the road so i did a slight correction to avoid and... wth the suspension got all upset at me and i found it very disturbing...
conclusion: i'll live with my harsh on straights 350 (tein SS coils) for the control i have in corners rather than a heavenly on straights and disturbing in corners ES... The RX350 loaner i had once felt much better in a corner than a ES350 did, go figure

I had both the RX350 loaded with ML .... and a ES350 for a loaner test drive. I must say the RX did feel better driving wise. But the ES felt very plush and more spacious. In the end...nice to ride but not to have.

I'd call the ES a good boulevard cruiser. Drape one had ontop the wood wheel and take in all the sites. I look forward to it when I take my IS in for service.

Yeah, it does have a lot of power compared to the 250. I was surprise when I stepped on the pedal. It's soooo roomy too; I loaded up four of my co-workers in it to go to lunch one day when I had it for a loaner.

It was fun for a few hrs but i started missing my sport suspension. and the dealer called me just in time he said my front driver side caliper was rusted and the mechanic said it would be a safety concern and he didn't want me driving with that problem so they are going to keep the car for the week and fix all the issues i mentioned the dash rattle, the windshield popping, ventilated seats not blowing enough air, jerky shifts, new brake pads, oil change, brake fluid change.
I took the ES back and got a brand new IS250AWD from them it only has 450miles on it
The 2010 IS250AWD for some reason feels alot quicker and i mean alot it pushes me back in my seat feels almost rear wheel drive. sound alot nicer the exhaust sound beautiful when i hit the gas. The new nav is so much nicer i guess its a Gen 5 it tells you what exits you have to pass before you take yours. the handling is alot more firm and tight. O and one big thing the one it lets you use the paddles to shift in D mode and it actually shifted gears not just tell the engine how many gears to use.
But i still dont get the big performance and sound upgrade from my 06 if my 06 IS250AWD could do that i would not feel the need for a 350. did they change something in the engine or the transmission. Please tell me if you knw im dying here
