Default Debadging the IS

I've done a search and found several threads from 2-3 years ago about this.

Has anyone found a way to seal those pesky little holes where "LEXUS" and "IS X50" are? I want to remove them from my car so bad cause I just think the look is so much more sleek, but I don't want those stupid holes being visible.

Any suggestions about this or at home remedies that have been discovered?

TIA!

PS: Installed the F-Sport Intake yesterday... LOVE IT! Can't wait for winter out here!

One process is to remove the emblems and to fill the holes with bondo and then re-paint. It might be a PIA if you do end up doing it yourself. Its a good idea to get it done at the body shop if the price is right.

Furthermore, I have known and seen other members on the forum who have removed the emblems and covered them with other "things" such as the F-Sport emblem. Good luck.

Don't do it man. Debadging really makes the car fall into "I'm heavily modded" category even if your car isn't.

i was thinking of debadging my emblems and then sanding them down. i'd paint everything a metalic black, and then painting the IS red (props to the person who painted the awd emblem red) i thought of the idea prior to but never had a chance to do it

I know what you mean but I just love the look of it without those badges. It just looks so much sleeker(sp?).

Never really understand why people debadge a 350.

When I see debadged IS i automatically assume that it is a 250..

First and foremost, do what makes you happy. I debadged my IS250 just few weeks after I bought my car. I did not debadge because I don't drive an
IS350 (thats st#pid reason for debadging), and people who know me can tell you I can not afford an IS350, instead I can afford an IS-F. So lets stop the nonsense about people debadging because they don't drive an IS350.

I debadged because I do not like the way the emblems look on the back, PERIOD! The rear looks more sporty now IMO. I'm having a body shop patch the 4 tiny holes on the back. Now I'm debating if I will put a nice JDM emblem on the right side of the trunk Lexus Logo instead.

People who debadge are ballers, IS250 or IS350, who cares.. they pay $$$$$$ for filling tiny holes.
