We use 3M general purpose wax and adhesive remover. I would be concerned that goo gone might damage the lights... Not to mention, any spray solution should not be applied directly to the light, as the compressed air can come out cold enough to crack the light.
My recommendation: Use Gasoline... of course make sure you are handling the gasoline properly, and be sure to handle any gasoline soaked rags properly.
Hope this helps.

You can not believe how many different uses this stuff has and how effective it is, example; I remodeled my kitchen which involved new counter tops (40 lin.ft.). They were installed before I re-finished the cabinets. I had to mask off the new counters while I was finishing the rest of the kitchen. Since I have a full kitchen in the basement, I took my time. Between the time of the remodeling and delays with deliveries 5 months had elapsed. When it came time to removing the masking take there was a problem. The tape had bonded to the Corian counter top. I tried every product available (GooGone, 3M, and even some dangerous commercial products). This tape would not come off easy. No matter what I used it would take an hour for a couple inches. I asked a couple friends and one suggested this stuff. He owns his own custom lettering/sign business which includes vinyl auto lettering. He told me this is the only product that takes off old lettering and is safe on the automotive paint. He gave me a bottle and with in 45 min all the tape was off, without even a sweat. It would have taken me days (Of hard work) to get that tape off.
My wife has a salon and she uses it to remove wax that is used for hair removal. It is safe enough to use directly on sensitive skin and is just a matter of gently rubbing a cotton ball across the residual wax.
When ever I would find a great product, it would be taken off the market, example; Honda de-carbonizer (Pink can). Had to be the most deadly product I have ever used. If one speck touched your skin you would have to wash it for five minutes to stop the pain. After using it on an old clogged motorcycle carburetor that sat for ten years, I knew I should get an extra can for the shelf. Needless to say, not sold anymore!
