Wow, I have no idea how you slammed into 1st, It is damn near impossible at that speed! I hope everything is okay...this is why I refuse to buy a car used with a Manual Transmission.

Dude, dont sweat it. I was drag racing my 98 Supra with over 450hp. FIRST run down the track with like 1600 miles on the car, what do I do? Accidentally go from 3rd to 2nd. Car nosedives screams. I think the redline was at 6800...well the tach went way higher than that. I popped the clutch back in as soon as possible, costed the rest of the 1/4 mile....and I was freaking out. I was too scared to even give the engine some gas. Now mind you, if I remember correctly. 3rd gear topped out at something like 65-70mph, and second was more like 35-40. Anyways, never had a problem, drove the car for 4 more years without incident. I know it was an iron block straight-6...but I wouldnt worry.

No need to be obsessed over it, just make sure the car runs just as well now when you stretch it out through the gears.
I way overtached (9-10K) a Mopar small block one time, felt like it had gotten a little down on power, so I eventually even changed all the valve springs. A friend put them in his car, and ran them for 10 years!

Valve springs are not the only issue. Piston pin bosses stretch and the little ends on the rods stretch. Sometimes you'll get rod bearing to crank contact too from losing the oil film the rods are floating on.
You might be shocked at the accelerative loads on a piston and rod assembly under normal service. Asking it to survive well beyond red line is really pushing the envelope with most OEM parts.
And the numbers for the Supra are all wrong. Second taps out at 68 mph, not 45. If you were at red line in 3rd and slammed 2nd, you'd spin up to ~9200 rpm. It won't even begin to hurt the 2JZ-GTE despite the soft OEM valve springs. The 2JZ-GTE is a freak for an OEM built engine. That's why you didn't have any issues.

Since I think I'm the only one who mentioned valve springs, I guess this was in response to my post. If so, I agree fully, but the valves springs on Hondas seem to be the weakest link. Valve to piston contact seems to always be the common denominator for overrev damage on Hondas.

Dont mean to hijack the thread...Is that how high it was? God, I remember going through first gear in what seemed to be a second. I just remember crossing the line I would push the clutch in and cruise through at 110-120...guess that was 3rd gear. 9200 RPMs? Ouch, yeah that engine is bulletproof. There is a video TAPE, yes tape out there, wish I could get it back. Had the supra shooting fire out the back of the HKS Super Dragger. Later had the camera in the car crusing to 165 with 6th gear to go (ran outta clear road). The camera picks up the sound and everything. Ah....that was the sweetest sound ever. Cant believe I sold that car. An IS-C and a Supra in the driveway would have been mighty nice. Why I am at it, maybe an RX or a Range Rover Sport for the winter months.
