Default removal of carbon fiber overlay?

hey guys im selling my car and need to remove the carbon fiber overlay in my car but i dont know how to remove it without breaking it. its attached with double sided tape. any help would be apreciated...

go in on a really hot day and peel it off very slowly.

+1^^ haha

use a low temp heat gun and make sure you distance it so you dont kill your interior or leather. its going to be a VERY long process... had to help a friend do it on his sti.

why dont you offer to swap it out with a stock one from a member on here.

Cause he's probably going to sell it.



I would pull the interior pieces off if you use a heat gun. Don't risk it with the pieces still in the car.

i would defintiely swap out the wood for the carbon if it was done well. PM with details.

Is it that important for you to remove it before selling the car? I've got the CF overlay too, but I would not want to remove it. It would be a long, slow process and the chance to screw it up and either damage one of the CF pieces or the original surface is great, imo. I'd leave it and count the original cost of it as lost. Let the new owner remove it if he doesn't want it.
